I started dancing classes at 8 years of age with Mrs. Jackie Shewell-Thomas in the Newent branch of Gloucester Dance Studio. I later progressed to the main school when it became apparent that dance was my passion. At 16 I won a scholarship at the much-acclaimed London Studio Centre, where my main discipline was ballet, but also studied contemporary, jazz, tap, Benesh notation (a way to document dance moves) and pas de deux (a dance for two).
Graduating 3 years later I was fortunate enough to work in the arts world in both dancing and acting.
After a break from dance, to bring up my three daughters Kate, Nicola, and Hannah, I decided that it was now time to share my experience and passion of dance.
Having studied for 3 years, I gained my qualifications to teach both the Royal Academy of Dance and International Dance Teachers Association syllabus.
In addition to this, I also spent a further 12 months studying to be a mat based Pilates teacher.
Also, Miss Sarah is an ISTD (The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) registered teacher and is also in the process of becoming a registered teacher with BBO (British Ballet Organization).
In 2013 Sarah also trained as a Street Fit instructor at Pineapple studio in London.
